Chinese company unveils iPad Mini clone for £61
Apple unveiled its iPad Mini this week - and today, a knock-off version has appeared in China priced just $99 (£61).
The GooPad Mini has an eight-inch screen, a similar resolution to Apple's tablet, and will launch in November.
There are one billion mobile phones in China, and the country is also the world's largest market for smartphones.
But while the advert makes it appear that it runs Apple's iOS, it actually runs Android, with 'iLaunch' software added on top to make it perform like an Apple device.
The company behind it also released a 'GooPhone' with a remarkable similarity to Apple's iPhone 5, and issued a public warning to Apple that it had patented the design in China.
The GooPhone 5 appeared before Apple's device.
The company also makes a GooPad, which is the same size as Apple's iPad, and other Goophones that resemble iPhone 4S.
Although Apple has pursued rivals such as Samsung for alleged copyright violation, it has not taken action against the Chinese company.
The GooPad Mini is aluminium, just like Apple's device, and is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, with 8GB of storage and built-in wi-fi.
It runs the latest version of Android, JellyBean.
