Adobe has updated its Reader app adding cloud support, allowing users to share files stored at Acrobat.com across a multitude of devices.
By introducing cloud storage to the Adobe Reader, users will be able to amend documents as well as add notes and comments, with any changes automatically being saved to the Acrobat.com cloud. Users will be able to make changes on their mobile, and then reopen the same file on their PC with the edits automatically made.
However, cloud storage is not the only improvement Adobe has made with the Reader update.
It's now easier to highlight vertical text – useful when working with some Asian language-based documents – while the Reader app now supports watermarks enabling customers to secure their documents.
PDF printing from an iOS device has also been improved so any tweaks or amendments made can be seen in the printed version. As Adobe themselves say, "If you can see it, you can print it.
The update is available now for Android for free from the Google Play Store. Adobe is waiting for the green light from Apple's App Review committee after submitting the update for the iOS platform, but expect the update to become available very soon.
